Forage Market is committed to helping reduce the spread of COVID-19 in our communities. This new virus is reported to survive for extended periods on hard smooth surfaces and can be transmitted by touching shared surfaces.

At Forage we are making a number of changes in how we serve our customers to reduce transmission paths in our operation. Some of these changes may become permanent, other changes may be temporary while the threat of COVID-19 remains high.

To reduce the need for customers to touch the same surfaces as others

  • We will no longer ask customers to input tips for credit card transactions. Please let us know if you want to leave a tip, your cashier will enter any amount. Tips are greatly appreciated and are a significant boost to take home pay. Past tip % has been close to 10% of sales. 

  • We will no longer handle customer's own cups for coffee and espresso drinks

  • We have eliminated our self served brewed coffee stations. We will fill your cup for you and add cream/milk if requested

  • We have eliminated our self serve water station. Please ask us if you would like a cup of tap water in a single use cup

  • We will temporarily eliminate all reusable dish wares in our dining room. All drinks, sandwiches and soups will be packed in disposable carryout packaging.

All surfaces that are still commonly encountered by customers will be sanitized regularly.

  • Scheduled hourly sanitizing of all shared surfaces ; door handles (entry doors, bathroom doors, cooler doors), table tops, counters,

  • Increased vigilance of table turnover for sanitizing wipe downs between customers. Please ask us to clean and sanitize your table if it is not marked as “just cleaned”
